2028 Olympics

The LA 1984 Olympics created a surplus for our city that has had lasting impacts across all communities. In order to replicate and build upon the success of the ‘84 games, we need to start planning now by utilizing the Olympics as a north star to more expeditiously work towards enrichment across industry and geography.

To start, we can identify sites that are already known to be single vehicle occupancy free for the games and begin to pilot routes and more public transportation options that can be scaled.

We also must focus on securing funds for infrastructure creation. This will add prevailing wage jobs here in LA through manufacturing and project labor agreements while enhancing infrastructure to ensure that manufacturing and industry production - for swag and uniforms - are strengthened in LA not outsourced to countries that rely on slave labor.
